Fantastic Cats

Fantastic Cats centers on observing street cats and building an in-game blog around their photos. You leave out food and toys, then watch as more than 36 cat breeds appear with their own behaviors and animations. The game presents this as a relaxed activity that can be played for a short daily session or for longer periods.

Watching and discovering cats

The main play loop is based on preparation and observation rather than direct control. Food and toys provide the cats with reasons to visit, while their different behaviors and animated appearances give you new animals to discover. The source describes more than 36 breeds, making cat discovery a central part of the experience.

Daily objectives and rewards

Each day includes three different missions. Completing these objectives provides rewards and extra perks, giving the observation-focused play loop a set of regular tasks to work toward. These daily goals add structure without changing the basic process of leaving items for the cats and watching them.

Growing an in-game blog

Cat photos are automatically uploaded to your in-game blog. As more people subscribe, the blog gains popularity and earns in-game revenue. This connects the cats you discover with the game's blogger premise: attracting subscribers depends on continuing to collect and share photos of the animals you encounter.

Presentation and pace

Fantastic Cats emphasizes cute animations and a calm pace. Its documented features focus on watching the cats, completing daily objectives, and developing the blog rather than on combat, competitive play, or complex controls.
