Privacy Policy

An overview of website record types, their purposes, relevant service providers and the process for personal-information requests.

Policy date: 28 October 2026

This document describes information associated with the operation of SegaCom.com. SegaCom is the website contact for the records described below. Direct questions, objections and other privacy requests to [email protected].

Website records and their purposes

  • Connection and service records. Requests to the website involve an IP address, browser information, requested URLs and timestamps. Hosting and delivery infrastructure can retain access and error logs for service operation, diagnostics and abuse investigation.
  • Catalogue events. Page views and download requests are recorded with the entry, path, language and time. They support usage totals and the administration of catalogue activity. They do not measure what happens inside a downloaded app.
  • Correspondence. An email contains the sender's address and the name, message, attachments or supporting evidence supplied. These details are used to assess and respond to enquiries, corrections and rights reports.
  • Reader contributions. If feedback is enabled, a submitted display name, comment or rating is stored with a derived visitor identifier for duplicate controls. Approved contributions can be published on the relevant page.

Browser identifiers

Session cookies support website interactions. A random visitor cookie can also be placed on content pages and used by the review system to limit duplicate submissions. Its browser lifetime is up to one year, unless deleted earlier. The identifier is not an email address, but it can distinguish a browser.

Cookie settings are available in your browser. Restricting cookies may prevent some functions from working. Clearing browser storage does not delete a support conversation or a contribution already stored on the server.

Basis for processing

Where a legal basis is required, legitimate interests support routine website delivery, security and responses to voluntary enquiries. Compliance with a legal obligation provides the basis for legally required disclosures. Processing that requires consent must have a separate valid consent process. Publishing this notice does not establish consent, and you can object to uses based on legitimate interests by writing to SegaCom.

Access to these records

Relevant information is available to authorised administrators and service providers performing hosting, file storage, content delivery, email and support functions. Information may also be disclosed where a legal duty requires it or where necessary to investigate misuse, protect the service or address a substantiated rights claim.

A public comment is available to its readers, so information intended to remain private should be sent by email instead. Supplying information is voluntary, but a request that cannot be identified or understood may not be actionable.

External downloads and international services

Some files and links lead to a separate host or service. Connecting to it transmits the technical information needed to fulfil the request, and that service's privacy terms apply to its handling of the connection. App developers also determine how their installed products process information, permissions and account data.

Infrastructure and email services can operate in locations outside your country. For information about providers, destinations or transfer arrangements relevant to a particular record, contact SegaCom at the address above. This website policy does not replace the policies of independent services.

Retention and protection

The appropriate retention period depends on the purpose and status of the record. Considerations include whether an enquiry remains open, an incident needs investigation, a contribution remains published, or a legal obligation requires evidence to be preserved. Technical logs, correspondence and public content are not subject to one uniform period.

Access restrictions and operational safeguards are used to limit inappropriate access and accidental loss. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed for internet transmission or storage. Please do not include passwords, authentication codes or unnecessary sensitive documents in an enquiry.

Requests concerning personal information

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, rectify or erase personal information, restrict processing, object to its use or obtain a portable copy. Consent can be withdrawn for processing that relies on it. You may also complain to a competent data protection authority.

Send the requested action and sufficient context to [email protected]. Proportionate identity or authority checks may be needed before action is taken. A legal duty, an unresolved dispute or another applicable exception can limit a request; no request requires you to email an account password.

Children's information

SegaCom is a general catalogue. Listing a game does not certify that it is suitable for a particular age. A parent or guardian who believes a child has supplied personal information can ask us to locate and review it. Children's private details should not be included in public comments.

Revisions

Changes to website operations may lead to revisions of this policy. The date at the top identifies the version being presented. Where a change requires further information or a separate choice under applicable law, publishing revised text alone is not a substitute.
