Lee County Schools LaunchPad

Lee County Schools LaunchPad gives students and staff a centralized way to reach school resources through a personalized virtual instructional desktop. The app brings academic applications, cloud folders, mapped Active Directory shares, and other school tools into one place, helping users work with resources associated with their school or organization.

Access school tools and files

The app provides real-time access to available cloud folders, network shares, and applications. Files can be reached from several supported sources, including Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, the school network, and the Lee County Schools LaunchPad Cloud Drive. This arrangement places different storage locations within the same school-focused workspace rather than requiring each source to be handled separately.

Students can use the desktop to reach academic tools, while staff members can use it to access resources needed for their work. The description also states that files can be accessed offline, allowing users to continue working with available file content when an internet connection is not present.

Printing from the workspace

Lee County Schools LaunchPad includes printing support for documents. Users can send documents to an AirPrint-connected printer, providing a way to move work from the digital workspace to a supported printer without leaving the app environment.

Organization access requirement

Access across devices depends on the user's school or organization having the Lee County Schools LaunchPad WEB EDITION. When that service is available, the app is intended to provide access to the organization's configured resources, storage locations, and applications from the personalized desktop.
