Rise of the Kings

Rise of the Kings is a dark fantasy strategy MMO in which players develop a stronghold, raise armies, and fight to expand their domain. Its campaign places settlement management and territorial conflict in a realm threatened by savage forces and monstrous enemies.

Developing a stronghold

Building and upgrading structures is a central part of progression. As the settlement grows, fortified buildings and castle upgrades unlock new capabilities, linking development at home with the broader effort to strengthen the domain. Resource collection and territorial expansion also form part of that growth.

Recruiting heroes and armies

Players recruit and command heroes including wizards, elves, and knights, alongside creatures and beasts. These different recruits provide choices in army composition as players prepare forces for combat. Managing the fortress and assembling an army are connected parts of the same campaign rather than separate objectives.

Alliances and large-scale conflict

PvP warfare extends the conflict beyond the stronghold. Players can join an Alliance to coordinate attacks, expand territory, and work with shared resources and territory. Large-scale battles make coordination part of the strategy, while fortress development remains an ongoing responsibility.

Seasonal campaigns and boss encounters

The game also includes seasonal campaigns and events alongside its settlement and warfare systems. Boss encounters feature dragons among the enemies players face, adding specific confrontations to the wider struggle for territory.
